A MESSAGE FROM catholic high lacrosse
head coach George k. d. Hopkins

On behalf of the Catholic High School Administration, staff, coaches, student athletes, parents and supporters of our athletics program, welcome to the Couhig Family Athletic Complex, Dale Weiner Field at Catholic High School. We are thrilled to be hosting the 2024 LHSLL Championship Weekend in the great town of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We want to thank Visit BR for providing our guests with a multitude of options for tremendous accommodations and dining.

This weekend’s games will showcase some of the best high school lacrosse student athletes in Louisiana. Over the last decade, the game of lacrosse has grown producing some terrific talent, many of whom have continued playing at the college level. We have the honor of seeing some of these talented young men play this weekend.

The League and the coaches want the game to continue to grow in Louisiana. The best way we can do that is by promoting the sport and the student athletes who make it so dynamic and exciting. We hope to accomplish that this weekend. We will host the Division I state semi-final and final games, and the Division II state final game. There will be no shortage of terrific lacrosse action and games this weekend.

We welcome families and friends of our student athletes and thank you for the continued support you offer them this weekend and throughout their high school careers. We hope this weekend lives up to your expectations of greatness, and we’re aiming to do our part by making you feel welcome. Let’s all make some memories and cherish those moments worthy of lasting a lifetime.

One final note: I am most grateful to the many sponsors, volunteers, coaches, officials and LHSLL staff who are all ready, willing and able to make this weekend such a success. Without their hard work, none of this is possible. Thank you for all you do for the sport of lacrosse, our student athletes and the State of Louisiana.
